Lustra Consulting began with a personal observation: too many of my college buddies drove cars filled with fast-food bags and half-empty coffee cups. Vermont winters coated their floor mats with corrosive road salt, and mud season only added insult to injury.

I couldn’t help but notice the connection between their cluttered cars and their chronic stress. Chances are, if your car isn’t clean, neither is your house — or your headspace.

For me, environmental hygiene has always been essential to mental health. Throughout my academic years, doing my laundry, making my bed, taking out the trash, and washing my car weren’t just chores — they were cornerstones of my routine, giving me structure, pride, and a sense of control. Without them, I doubt I would have enjoyed my college years as much as I did.

The Car Detail

We will work on your vehicle until you are satisfied. Due to the expensive nature of environmentally-friendly & professional detailing equipment and materials, as well as the physical intensity of the labor, our rate is $75 per hour of work. Additional fees apply for travel outside of our service area, to be discussed prior to service. On average, a detail takes between 4 and 6 hours. Please do not hesitate to reach out to discuss a more precise estimate based on the requested services. 

We start with complete waste removal and precision vacuuming throughout the interior — including under seats and in hidden crevices. For pet owners, we use specialized tools to remove embedded fur and paw prints.

After vacuuming and debris removal, carpets and waterproof mats are scrubbed with a specialized upholstery cleaner and pressure washed. The carpet mats are extracted to remove the dirty water and dried in the sun. Waterproof mats receive a thin, non-slip coat of restorative conditioner. 

Steam and surface cleaners sanitize the cup holders, seats, and dashboard. Leather and vinyl surfaces — as well as any waterproof mats — are shined with a coat of restorative conditioner. Finally, your vehicle’s exterior is washed and shined with carnauba wax. We shine the tires as well.

The Residential Detail

The Residential Detail — conducted at a rate of $50 per hour — doesn’t just create a cleaner space; it delivers clarity, confidence, and peace of mind, turning your environment into a true reflection of the life you want to live. Additional fees apply for travel outside of our service area, to be discussed prior to service.

The Residential Detail is a full reset for your kitchen, office space, living room, bedroom, basement, or garage — a process designed with the same thoroughness as a luxury car detail.

We begin with clutter and garbage removal, clearing away what no longer serves you. We perform a deep clean of furniture, surfaces, and floors, including targeted stain and dust removal. Closets are decluttered and reorganized to restore order and make daily life simpler.

To complete the transformation, we can also help you identify and install furniture, plants, and décor that bring warmth, life, and character to the space.
